About Me
Hello! My name is Rebecca Mendoza and I am a Clinical Psychology Doctoral Student at George Mason University. I have an NSF GRFP fellowship and am a Graduate Research Assistant in the Impulse lab under the direction of Dr. Sarah Fischer. My research interests broadly include examining sociocultural factors that influence the development and maintenance of eating disorders and body image concerns, especially in child and adolescent populations.
In May 2023, I graduated from San Diego State University with a Psychology major and minor in Science, Technology, and Society Studies. Additionally, I was an undergraduate research assistant in the BISH Lab under the direction of Dr. Aaron Blashill, and an NIH MARC (Maximizing Access to Research Careers) Scholar.
